School Librarian

Dinglegymnasiet is seeking a school librarian. Dinglegymnasiet is a small independent upper secondary school offering the Natural Resources program with specializations in gardening, horses, and animal care. The school also offers the Introductory Program. The school is run by Naturbruk Väst. Together with Nuntorpsgymnasiet, we are two schools firmly rooted in the long-standing tradition of natural resource education that has always characterized the locations where the schools are situated.

JOB DUTIES

As a school librarian, you are responsible for managing and developing our school library as a pedagogical resource with a focus on reading promotion, media and information literacy, and digital competence. You will also collaborate with teachers to integrate the library's resources into teaching. Job duties also include library administration such as selecting, purchasing, and organizing books and digital media to meet students' needs. Registering and cataloging new books in the library system, weeding out old and outdated books to keep the school library up-to-date, and handling lending to some extent.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with appropriate education for the position.

Good pedagogical understanding and ability to teach.

Competence to teach source criticism, information retrieval, and digital tools.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position is a part-time role at 20% but can also be combined with our other vacant positions if the right competence exists.
