Workplace:

Kättilsröd 4H Farm is a well-established farm with visitor activities in Tuve near Hisingsparken. Here you will find cows, sheep, goats, horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, and rabbits. The farm runs extensive and very popular children's and youth activities; during all school holidays, various types of camps are offered, in the evenings there is riding school, and on weekends there are open activities for children and young people. The farm is a very popular destination for families with children, schools, associations, and outdoor enthusiasts.

In your role as operations manager (farm manager), you are responsible for:

Operations in the form of the daily running of the farm. This means the animals must be cared for according to the county administrative board's guidelines and other animal welfare laws. Staff must be informed of changes in work, and ensure that the work on the farm is carried out by the staff in an exemplary manner as decided by the board.

Financially responsible to the board. Handle contact with and report to the treasurer, auditor, and board. Ensure that staff salary reports are submitted on time to the payroll office.

Board meetings: attend and report on what has happened at the farm.

Supervise the daily operations carried out on the farm.

Meetings with the Västra Götaland region of 4H.

Staff meetings: responsible for ensuring meetings are held every week.

Handle contact with Sports and Associations, Parks and Nature, the Swedish Equestrian Federation, the Environmental Office, the National Federation of Sweden's 4H, the Västra Götaland region of 4H, and other important contacts for the farm.

Responsible for tractors, trailers, and other motor vehicles on the farm.

Requirements:

Animal experience (primarily horses, sheep, goats

At least 10 years of riding experience

Experience working with children and young people

Able to perform physical work outdoors

Computer/IT skills

Proficient in the Office package

Driving license B

Meritorious:

Training in/worked with administration in an association, board or similar

Training in/worked in a stable or on another farm

Training in/worked with children and young people

Owned a horse or similar

Together with the board, the farm manager shall run the farm. The farm manager must be a role model for staff, children, and young people. Visitors to the farm should be greeted pleasantly. The farm is a living environment and should be planned and designed according to the development of the business. You will need to juggle many balls at the same time. This requires you as a person to be creative and have the knowledge and ambition to continuously develop the farm for the better. Ideas and implementation must be planned with the board.

You as a person should enjoy interacting with all kinds of people, be able to lead staff and children/young people, as well as share your knowledge and grow through changes. You also need to be able to identify renovations that must be carried out on a farm; you need to be somewhat handy.

Some office work is included in the position.

Familiarity with 4H is an advantage.
