Experienced prosthetic technician sought for our removable department at Örestad Expodent Åkesson - Corus Dental Technology AB

We are now looking for an experienced prosthetic technician for our Prosthetics Department at Örestad Expodent Åkesson in Malmö/Limhamn.

Örestad Expodent Åkesson is a personal dental lab with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship, where relationships are at the center. We are one of Sweden's leading players in dental technology and currently have about 50 employees. Our size means that each employee plays an important role. This entails great responsibility in daily work, but also a strong sense of participation and pride in what we deliver together. The lab is located in Limhamn, Malmö, and we work in modern, fresh premises with well-functioning work environments.

About the position

As an experienced prosthetic technician with us, you work independently with the entire workflow for full and partial dentures, from work analysis to finished product. The role requires a very good understanding of function, fit, aesthetics, and bite conditions, as well as the ability to handle technically demanding and individually adapted work.

Work tasks

Denture work – advanced level

· Independent production of full dentures and partial dentures

· Model analysis and interpretation of impressions, jaw registrations, and orders

· Production of individual trays, base plates, and bite templates

· Advanced tooth setup in wax with focus on aesthetics, function, and stability

· Polymerization, post-processing, polishing, and finishing of dentures

· Grinding and functional control before delivery

· Responsibility for the work meeting set quality requirements

Repairs and adjustments

· Denture mending and repairs

· Rebasing and relining

· Assessment of causes of fit or functional problems

· Independently handle complaints within the area of responsibility

Quality assurance

· Perform self-checks according to established routines

· Identify and report deviations in documentation or process

Qualifications

· Educated dental technician or equivalent

· At least 10 years of documented experience in removable prosthetics

· Very good knowledge in: Full and partial dentures, Bite, occlusion and function, Denture materials (acrylic, teeth, related materials)
