In the middle of Skåne, in a scenic location with forest and water around the corner, lies Fogdaröd, a non-profit association with a hundred-year tradition that has developed high quality in meeting and supporting each individual to use and develop their resources.

Fogdaröd has been running the Carolina School for 25 years, a natural resource high school with a gardening focus, specially designed for young people with some form of neuropsychiatric disability, such as high-functioning autism and ADHD. The school has 40 students in total and is based on a comprehensive solution with a boarding school.

Do you want to work closely with young people in this nature-rich environment and be an important adult in their daily lives? We are looking for new staff with experience working with young people who need special support in school and after school, at the boarding school.

Your field of work includes boarding school and school. You follow the young people during parts of the school day and work as a teacher assistant in theoretical subjects and/or in practical gardening work at school. After school, you work to support and guide the young people in their everyday life at the boarding school - in practical matters such as cleaning and laundry, as well as in social interaction and the young people's personal development. You help create conditions for meaningful leisure time. Mentorship with motivating and clarifying conversations, as well as documentation, is an important part of the work at the boarding school.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday and can be distributed during the day, evening, and may also involve sleeping nights.

The employment is a gap-year position that follows the school's academic year.

Permanent employment with at least 75% working hours. Start as soon as possible.

You should have post-secondary education such as

- Treatment Educator

- Social Educator

- Teacher Assistant

- Recreation Leader

or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

Knowledge, interest, and experience regarding high-functioning young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities are desirable.
