About the position
Funktionsrätt Sverige is seeking a project manager for the three-year Swedish Inheritance Fund-financed project "Be Prepared!". The project aims to strengthen knowledge, participation, and empowerment for persons with disabilities in relation to crisis preparedness and civil defense, and contribute to inclusive development work in this area among public actors.
The project combines mapping, co-creation with the target group, collaboration with authorities, county administrative boards, regions, municipalities, and the development of a web-based representative training.
As project manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and implementing the project in collaboration with civil society, authorities, and other actors.
A key deliverable is a web-based representative training that will strengthen individuals' ability to both manage crises and contribute to more inclusive crisis preparedness.
Main duties
- lead the project's implementation from start to final report
- coordinate the project team (1-2 project employees), pilot group, reference groups, and collaboration partners
- ensure quality in mapping, analysis, and method development
- plan and implement pilot activities and dissemination efforts
- drive the development of a web-based representative training
- be responsible for follow-up, project budget, reporting to the Swedish Inheritance Fund, and deliverables
- ensure a working approach characterized by co-creation and accessibility.
The position requires that you are structured and self-driven with good analytical and strategic ability. You are relationship-building, collaboration-oriented, and have a great understanding of the importance of participation.
Qualifications
- solid experience in leading complex projects, preferably within the public sector or civil society
- experience in collaboration between different actors (public actors at national, regional, and local levels as well as actors in civil society)
- accustomed to working strategically and operationally in parallel
- experience working with human rights and analytical work from a rights perspective
- experience with participatory methods
- good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
Meritorious
- good knowledge of disability rights, active involvement, and accessibility issues
- good knowledge of crisis preparedness, civil defense, or related areas
- experience in educational development or digital learning environments

Employment conditions
- The position is a full-time project employment from August 2026 to August 2029.
- Start date August 1 (or by agreement).

- The position is located at Funktionsrätt Sverige's office in Sundbyberg, Stockholm.
- The employment is covered by a collective agreement via Fremia.
