JOB DUTIES

At Iqraskolan, we work together to provide all children with educational years at school. The knowledge they acquire gives them good conditions for the rest of their lives.

We have a strong focus and dedicate much time to language and reading comprehension, knowing it is crucial for developing knowledge in all subjects. We have a nice school library where children can find inspiration for reading. The book collection is continuously expanded with books in both Swedish and other languages.

We are now seeking a primary school teacher for the fall term of 2026. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and following up on the activities in your class based on the curriculum's purpose and core content, and actively planning and working for gender equality and equity in teaching.

At our school, you work as one of two teachers in the class. We also hold planning meetings with teachers in the team, where you have the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss current topics. Thus, you work together with the team staff to develop children's influence, participation, and personal responsibility. We believe you are good at communicating and collaborating with students, guardians, and colleagues. You enjoy being involved and taking responsibility for your workplace. You see it as natural to be solution-focused and strive to achieve higher goal fulfillment together with your colleagues. You recognize that modern technology is a given in today's schools – providing great opportunities for development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree focusing on the early years of primary school and eligibility to teach grades 1-3 or grades 1-6. Previous experience in pedagogical work as a teacher is an advantage. You are well-versed and have good verbal and written communication skills in the Swedish language.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have the ability to convey information and ideas both orally and in writing. You express the core of an argument clearly and effectively. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

As a person, you have the ability to work with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and understanding others, you foster a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

Furthermore, to succeed in the role, you must be able to easily adapt yourself and your working methods to changing conditions and new information. You can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes.
