Do you dream of a workplace in the middle of nature where a non-profit school association works together with committed staff for each child's development and safety? Rickarum school and preschool are located in a small community where many parents and residents are passionate about the activities and contribute to the community and creative learning environment.

Nature is our main educational space. It gives children and staff the opportunity to use the surroundings with forest, lake, and meadows for creative learning and a healthy work environment.

With about 50 children in preschool and about 50 students in school, everyone knows each other, and we can work in age-integrated and flexible ways that promote each child's development. The staff in the various parts of the organization work together to create learning based on care, competence, and heart. The team consists of 30 people. We place great emphasis on a work environment where staff, students, and children feel joy in coming to preschool and school in the morning.

Does Rickarum seem remote? Not at all – the school is 25 km from Kristianstad and Hässleholm, and within less than an hour you are in Malmö or Lund. A hidden gem in a living countryside with half an hour to most places.

We are now looking for more hourly substitutes for our operations; we need hourly substitutes in preschool (ages 1–5), after-school care, and as support staff in school (grades F-5).

About us

Rickarum School Association has run a preschool since 2012 and an F-5 school and after-school care since 2015, "the little school in nature." We are a non-profit association that reinvests any profit back into the operations and grows at a sustainable pace. Meals are prepared from scratch in our own new kitchen. We are looking for someone who:

· sees each student's and child's individual needs.

· has good ability to communicate and build good relationships with students, children, parents, and colleagues.

· masters the Swedish language in speech and writing.

· is solution-focused and sees opportunities instead of obstacles.

· appreciates the possibilities of a smaller organization.

Meritorious

· Pedagogical education

· Experience and interest in outdoor pedagogy and experiential learning

· Driver's license (B category)

· Experience working in an independent school and/or non-profit activities
