After-school Center Teacher and Development Leader

The Birkaskolan is an operation with preschool, after-school center and primary school from F-9. Our overall goal is to use the Montessori pedagogy to develop creativity, self-confidence and desire to learn.

We offer after-school activities before and after the school day for grades F-3. In the after-school center, we currently have about 150 students.

We have a well-established value base consisting of the words participation, respect, development and safety. These words are very much alive and we work based on these values in everything we do.

Our after-school center offers continuity and safety in an inspiring environment, adapted to the children's size and developmental level. We want every child, based on their conditions, to grow and develop into an independent individual at their own pace. The children's groups are mixed ages and the older children are role models and can guide and be helpful to the younger ones. The after-school activity is sometimes divided into two groups; F-1 and 2-3.

We are looking for you who is an after-school center teacher/after-school educator and who has experience in leading and coordinating the after-school operation.

In your assignment, together with your colleagues, you will develop the pedagogical environment so that the operation becomes even safer, more stimulating and challenging. You drive and develop pedagogy in line with Montessori pedagogy and other governing documents.

We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to get your colleagues on board.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis and the position can be filled before the advertisement expires.
