After-school center teacher 70-100%

We are looking for a teacher for our after-school center. Eligibility is a must to apply for the job. You will work in our after-school center for the older children in grades 3-6.

ABOUT US

Växjö International Primary School (VIGS) is an independent school that has existed for 15 years. We are a single-stream F-9 school. The school has about 235 students and we moved into our newly renovated premises in the Norremark area in 2014/2015. Our primary school classes have 20 students per class, and in lower secondary we are 26 in each class. During all lessons F-6 and many grades 7-9, resource teachers are present to support students who need it. We have motivated students from all corners of the world and there is a good study culture among the students. We teach in both Swedish and English and aim to make our students bilingual. This means you must master both Swedish and English, with at least one completely fluent and the other at a level where you can understand and make yourself understood. We encourage you to take students on study visits or invite various societal actors to deepen understanding of a particular subject area.

The school staff is highly committed and knowledgeable with a very low turnover rate. We enjoy each other's company and support one another. ABOUT YOU

You are a certified teacher for the after-school center. You are confident in yourself and your professional role. You find it easy to build good relationships with students and have ideas for developing the after-school center. You are solution-focused, creative, and have a positive view of students. You collaborate well with both colleagues and guardians. Preferably, you have a few years of experience. You are accustomed to planning, implementing, and evaluating after-school center activities.
