About us

Elkapsling is a successful supplier of cabinets and enclosures to customers in the Nordic region, mainly within the segments of industry, infrastructure, telecom and energy.

The company, founded in 1971, develops, manufactures and markets cabinets that protect sensitive electrical and electronic equipment.

The business delivers both standard products and customizations through project-specific solutions. Production takes place in its own factory, where salespeople and designers develop concepts, prototypes and solutions together with the company's customers.

The business currently consists of about 90 employees and has a turnover of about 200 MSEK with good profitability. Since 2012, Elkapsling is part of Lagercrantz Group AB, a technology group with about 90 companies that offer value-creating technical solutions, whose shares have been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2001.

The role of Purchaser

As a Purchaser, you will primarily support and develop the operational capability of the business as part of the purchasing department in accordance with the company's overall strategies, goals and guidelines. In this role, it is particularly important that the company's resources are utilized in the best way by maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing as well as new suppliers.

You will work with both operational and tactical purchasing activities by:

· Handling daily purchasing activities, orders and inquiries and thereby ensuring deliveries of goods and services according to agreement or quotation.

· Driving negotiations and renegotiation of contracts with new and existing suppliers, primarily but not limited to assigned supplier categories.

· Responsible for handling complaints against suppliers and forwarders of purchased material within assigned supplier categories.

· Actively contributing to the optimization of inventory levels of purchased material.

· Responsible for identifying and evaluating new potential suppliers within assigned supplier categories.

· Responsible for evaluation and quality assurance of suppliers and ensuring suppliers' compliance with policies and guidelines within assigned supplier categories.

· Responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies within assigned supplier categories with support from the purchasing department.

· Responsible for analysis of costs and market conditions within assigned supplier categories.

· Driving the development of supplier relationships within assigned supplier categories in collaboration with the production, design and sales departments.

As a Purchaser, you will become a key player in our purchasing department and work closely with the company's other departments – always with the customer's needs and production conditions in focus.

We would like you to have:

· University education or equivalent in a relevant field

· Experience in purchasing, administration or coordinating roles in a production-near environment

· Good analytical ability and accustomed to working with numbers

· Very good communication and collaboration skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

· Driver's license (B)

Practical

We offer flexible working hours with offices in Alby and Sundsvall. Placement can be Sundsvall or Alby. If your placement is Sundsvall, hybrid work means you regularly work on-site in Alby.
