Restaurant Manager

Storlien is a village in Åre municipality, located in the mountains, right at the border to Norway.

Storlien Högfjällshotell reopened with a new owner in winter 2023 after being closed for 5 years. In many ways, we are still in a start-up phase, which means a role with us suits someone who wants to help shape concepts, take great personal responsibility, create routines, and a pleasant as well as efficient work culture within the team. And not least, create wonderful memories for our guests.

We are looking for a driven leader who can take responsibility for our restaurants, which are divided into a smaller restaurant with 30 seats, one with 90, and one with 160. In addition to those in the hotel, we have a mountain restaurant that in winter is also operated by the hotel staff. Winter is currently our high season, and we hope to achieve a good year-round flow in the long term. During spring and autumn, we host conferences and some recurring larger events. Job responsibilities include recruitment, scheduling, ordering beverages and materials, budgeting, personnel management, but also working in service yourself (most often as a host) and acting as a present leader who demonstrates what good service means. It is important that you are responsible and ensure that the restaurant always complies with the alcohol law (ranging from opening hours, to ensuring staff are properly trained and ordering security guards when required).

Previous experience as a restaurant manager is meritorious but not required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and whether you have previously worked with logistics, finance, and personnel management.

Our current restaurant manager will stay with us until the end of June, and we hope you can start immediately so that you get a good handover and time to learn a lot together with him.
