Construction Manager - Bridge Infrastructure Projects (Full-time)

We are seeking a senior construction manager with a focus on bridges for a comprehensive and long-term infrastructure project in northern Sweden. The assignment is full-time and involves a key role in the production phase, working closely with project management and contractors.

About the assignment

You will work as a construction manager and client support in projects focusing on bridge structures within road and/or railway. The role involves monitoring the contractor's work and ensuring that production is carried out according to contract, quality, time, and cost.

You are not responsible for the contractor's production, but serve as a central coordinator, control function, and technical support.

Job duties

• Monitor that contracts are carried out according to the contract
• Participate in and review production technical solutions
• Be the contact person towards the contractor
• Identify risks and propose measures
• Participate in meetings, inspections, and follow-ups
• Review self-inspections, control plans, and work preparations
• Keep a diary and document the project's progress
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements and permits
• Collaborate with project management and other construction managers

Workplace and practical conditions

• Location: Umeå (opportunity for work in Skellefteå)
• Travel: 3–5 days/week within the region
• Presence: 5 days/week on site
• Start: August–October
• Scope: full-time (100%)

Equipment and requirements for you as a consultant

• Access to own car (mileage allowance provided)
• Ability to work independently in the field and in project organization

Mandatory requirements

To be considered, you must meet all of the following:

• At least 5 years of experience in construction projects (road and/or railway)
• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or inspector in bridge projects
• Experience with AMA Anläggning 20 or later
• Experience with AB04
• Valid driver's license (B category)
• Completed and approved training in Concrete Class 1
• Experience must be current (within the last 10 years) and at least 50% employment rate

Meritorious requirements (advantageous)

It is highly advantageous if you also have:

• Experience as a construction manager in projects with post-tensioned bridge structures (at least 6 months, ≥50%)
• Experience in projects involving underwater concreting (e.g., bridge supports or immersed tunnels)
• Experience in a leading role in planning, implementation, and follow-up in these types of projects
