Construction Manager / BPU - National Noise Program (Northern & Central Regions)
Description
We are seeking an experienced construction manager/BPU for a national assignment involving noise mitigation measures related to road and railway projects. The role is positioned within infrastructure projects and encompasses work in the Northern region as well as parts of the Central region.
The assignment involves ensuring that contracts are planned, executed, and quality-assured in accordance with contracts, schedules, budgets, regulatory requirements, as well as technical and legal agreements.
You will also act as the client's representative at construction meetings, inspections, and follow-ups in ongoing contracts.
Main Responsibilities
Construction Management and Noise Mitigation
- Inventory of patio measures along roads and railways in Gävleborg, Dalarna, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland
- Review and quality assurance of consultant-developed action proposals
- Site visits to property owners and discussions about proposed noise mitigation measures
- Development of alternative technical solutions when necessary
- Handling of agreements, building permits, and construction notifications
- Client representative at construction meetings and contract follow-up
- Follow-up of facade and patio measures as well as local noise barriers
Project and Financial Management
- Forecasts, cost monitoring, and invoice management in consultation with the project manager
- Quarterly and monthly reporting
- Review and posting of invoices
- Compilation of schedules and coordination with contractors and consultants
- Post-calculations, final reports, and procurement documentation
- Ordering in the Swedish Transport Administration's ordering system
Quality and Project Support
- Review of consultant documents and quality assurance
- Participation in design and technical alignments
- Ensuring that requirements for quality, environment, work environment, and safety are met
- Support to subproject managers when needed
- Knowledge transfer to internal employees at the Swedish Transport Administration
Requirements Profile
Basic Requirements
- Very good command of Swedish in speech and writing
- Driving license B
- Post-secondary education (at least 120 credits) or equivalent experience
- At least 12 months of experience with forecasting systems (e.g., C7)
- At least 2 years of experience as a project engineer in a project organization (within the last 5 years)
- Documented experience in financial, time, quality, and environmental management in projects
Technical and Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager, site manager, supervisor, or equivalent in construction/civil engineering
- Experience in the Swedish Transport Administration's building technical projects
- Experience working in contract projects with contract management and follow-up
Mandatory Training
- BAS-P and BAS-U
- Working on Road Stage 1
