Uppsala Girls' and Trans Helpline is seeking a temporary Operations Coordinator while our employee is on leave. The role involves working independently and goal-orientedly towards the organization's objectives. We are looking for someone who thrives in a flexible role and wants to work with operational development, financial responsibility, coordination of volunteers, and providing support to young people.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about violence prevention, young people's rights and mental health, and who wants to make a real difference in a small organization with a big heart.

The position is 80% and is funded by grants from the National Board of Health and Welfare and Uppsala Municipality. The position will be filled immediately and extends until December 2026, with the possibility of extension into 2027. The Operations Coordinator works closely with the organization's three other employees and has the association's voluntary board as employer. At Uppsala Girls' and Trans Helpline, we have goal-oriented working hours based on a 30-hour work week (full-time). Some working hours are scheduled in the evenings and weekends. Some remote work is possible.


Work tasks

● Budget responsibility and ongoing bookkeeping

● Grant-related administration

● Development of support activities

● Support conversations with young help-seekers

● Coordination and supervision of volunteers


Requirements profile

● Degree in social work, psychology, or education deemed equivalent by the employer

● Initiative and accustomed to working independently

● Experience in coordination

● Experience in a leadership role

Meriting qualifications and skills

● Knowledge about LGBTQIA+

● Experience in financial management

● Experience in non-profit work

● Experience with support conversations

● Experience with the target group of children and young people

Uppsala Girls' and Trans Helpline is a non-profit association founded in 2005. The association is politically and religiously independent and works for gender equality, equality, siblinghood, and sisterhood. We are passionate about supporting and encouraging young people, working preventively for gender equality and equality, and elevating the youth perspective in public debate. The employer consists of a voluntary board; the helpline has four employees and about 30 volunteers.
