Lillsved Gymnastics and Sports Folk High School seeks a qualified teacher for the course Higher Education Ski Instructor.

Who are we looking for?

You are an idealistic person within civil society and association activities who is driven by working with participants at a folk high school.

You have the ability to build trust with participants and colleagues. You are confident in your subject knowledge and in meeting participants as we work thematically and across subjects.

You also have good knowledge of the folk education mission and experience in various forms of social pedagogical work.

You have adequate teaching qualifications and/or a folk high school teaching degree or other meritorious experience in education.

You have Swedish Ski Instructor certification and adequate teaching experience. Academic education and experience in skiing are meritorious. You teach ski-related subjects such as ski technique and mechanics, pedagogy, methodology, leadership, service/tourism, ski maintenance, etc.

Working within folk education involves a stimulating and free form of work. The course content is planned and implemented in close dialogue with students and other teachers, and we preferably work thematically. Lillsved Gymnastics and Sports Folk High School combines folk high school with conference activities and a hostel. Our profile permeates all our operations.

The folk high school has approximately 100 participants during the academic year, all of whom study and have a great interest in health-related subjects and future professional fields. 70 of these live at the school's boarding house.

The conference activities account for a significant part of the operations with various guest groups throughout the year. We have 100 rooms and about 10 conference rooms.

At Lillsved, old and new blend together. In the Manor House, with its oldest parts from the mid-1800s, there are conference/teaching facilities and social areas.

As a teacher, you have excellent conditions to teach our participants.

Beautiful nature that invites outdoor activities, relaxation, and exercise. In sports and health-related subjects, Lillsved has sports halls, a gym, mirror room, spinning room, massage room, exercise tracks, tennis courts, disc golf course, beach volleyball court, and a grass football field.

Lillsved is located on a peninsula in the northern part of Värmdölandet. It is a varied archipelago landscape surrounding the place with bays, groves, and open fields just 1 hour by bus from Slussen in Stockholm.
