Subject teacher in art for years 4-9, permanent 20%
Description
Immanuelskolan is a small independent school that has been operating since 2003. We strive for both our staff and students to thrive. Christian values are important to us, and we continuously work to ensure that the school climate is permissive and safe. As an employee, you will soon notice that it is easy to make your voice heard and that decision-making processes are short.
Teamwork is extremely important to us - we are there for each other and help one another to achieve as much as possible. We want to see children and young people grow and develop to their full potential. Here, you should be able to be yourself and learn to show respect for one another. We are located near Borlänge city center, and we have about 140 students at the school, with up to 22 students per class. Knowledge is invaluable, and we want all students who attend to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
You are a certified primary school teacher with competence in art for years 6-9 (preferably 4-9). There is an opportunity to combine with another subject if you have the competence and desire. Experience is meritorious but not a requirement. YOU should enjoy working with young people and want to find ways for them to learn as much as possible. You must be able to set boundaries and be clear in your professional practice. Flexibility and ability to collaborate are prerequisites. Knowledge of how to adapt your teaching for children with various difficulties, such as dyslexia or neurodevelopmental disorders, is also meritorious. You are responsible for teaching art in years 6-9, including planning, purchasing responsibility for the art subject, and necessary documentation.
You are responsible for planning and conducting art instruction in four classes for years 4-9, as well as student electives in years 6-9. Lessons can be scheduled in different ways depending on your preferences and the overall schedule.
The position will be filled for the fall term of 2026, but we would like you to participate in the planning days that teachers have in June.
An extract from the criminal record is required. To be permanently employed, you must have a teaching license. If you are a recent graduate, you will be employed for a fixed term until you receive your teaching license.
