Preschool class teacher

Pilgrimsskolan is a small independent F-3 school in Aspudden with small classes and high staff density. It is a Bifrost-inspired school with a thematic approach where theory and practice go hand in hand. Our guiding words are knowledge, security, and responsibility.

We are now looking for a teacher for our preschool class starting in August. You would be responsible for planning and implementing teaching in the preschool class in collaboration with the childminder assigned to the class. As we work a lot in teams and with buddy activities, it is of utmost importance that you find it enjoyable and rewarding to collaborate with your colleagues and that co-planning is natural for you. Creating a secure group with a good working environment and a positive atmosphere is very important to us.

As a person, you are positive and curious. You enjoy trying new things and developing. You are open to others' ideas and passionate about creation and creativity. You are accustomed to working with reading and writing instruction using the phonics method and skilled at teaching the basics of mathematics in a systematic and enjoyable way.

Experience working in preschool classes, particularly with the Bornholm method, station work, and the Swedish National Agency for Education's mapping materials, as well as LegiLexi, is meritorious.

The position is a one-year substitute role with a chance of extension (then as a grade 1 teacher). It is a full-time, term-time position that includes working in afterschool care one morning and two afternoons per week.
