At Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES), we make a difference in our students' lives. We believe this is due to our clear ethos with engaged and visible leaders who create an environment where teachers can teach and students learn. IES schools have a dynamic international atmosphere with staff and students from around the world. IES Värmdö is a school for Kindergarten (Pre-school class) through grade 9, with approximately 610 students and 68 employees. We follow the Swedish curriculum and have up to 50% of instruction in English. We opened our doors in August 2021 and have had very successful years establishing a school strong in IES culture. We are located in the Charlottendal area of Gustavsberg, with an easy commute from Stockholm. It takes 20 minutes by bus from Slussen, and the bus stop is right next to the school. Whether you are a newly graduated or experienced educator, you will have the opportunity to develop. We are looking for certified teachers in sloyd, both wood and metal sloyd and textile sloyd, to teach grades 4-9, starting in August 2026. You must be knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. You are a leader in the classroom with tools to create a calm learning environment. You differentiate your instruction to meet the needs of all your students. In addition to teaching, you will also serve as a mentor for 16 students. You will support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background.
