Special Education Teacher for Adapted Upper Secondary School

For autumn 2026, we are looking for someone who - holds a degree as a special education teacher for intellectual disabilities for adapted upper secondary school. You are certified in the subjects mathematics, natural sciences, entrepreneurship, and preferably Swedish or English. The position includes mentoring and some coordination responsibilities.

Vackstanäsgymnasiet is a non-profit independent upper secondary school with boarding facilities. The school is run as a foundation with board members from the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Rural Economy and Agricultural Society. The school is naturally beautifully located in the triangle of Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje by Lake Vällingen. We have about 275 students, of which 25 students are in Property and Construction and Hotel, Restaurant and Bakery at the adapted upper secondary school. The rest are in the Child and Leisure program, Leisure and Health, Restaurant and Food program (chef, baker/pastry chef), Natural Resource program (gardening also with nature guide profile), and the Arts program with focus on visual arts and design, profile textile design. Sustainability is important to us; we work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and finances. Among other things, we grow much of our vegetables, we have a clear program to create community for both students and staff, and we are members of the National Association of Non-Profit Schools, etc.

The geographical location of the school means you need your own car to get to and from.
