Property Manager - a key role in one of Västmanland's most beautiful settings

We are now looking for a head caretaker / property caretaker for Schenströmska Herrgården.

This is a key role in the operations where you help ensure everything works – every day.

Schenströmska Herrgården offers the concept "Rent your own manor" – where guests rent the entire facility and create their own experiences.

We host conferences, weddings and events – which demands that everything behind the scenes is in top condition and works seamlessly.

About the role

This is more than a classic caretaker job.

You are responsible for:

• Having overview of the entire facility – both indoors and outdoors
• Planning, prioritizing, and driving your work independently
• Ensuring everything is intact, works, and looks good
• Preventing problems before they arise

You will work closely with our assistant caretaker Josefin, who has long experience with the facility and focuses on detail.

You will also collaborate closely with operations manager Ronja, who handles bookings, customer contact, and the overall work forward – together you create a functional whole for both guests and operations.

Job duties

• Ongoing maintenance and repairs
• Upkeep of properties, rooms, facilities, and outdoor areas
• Responsibility for the facility maintaining high visual and functional standards
• Fire and safety work
• Handling of urgent matters
• Basic technical support during events (sound, video, etc.)
• Preventive work and improvements

Experience & knowledge

Requirements:

• Experience in property maintenance, caretaking or similar
• Technically interested
• Good knowledge of Swedish
• Driver's license B

Meritorious:

• Experience with HVAC, ventilation or electrical
• Experience in conference or event environments
• Gardening / outdoor maintenance
• Chainsaw certificate or experience working with machinery
