Kitchen Manager for Preschool Compiskraft

We are looking for an experienced and professionally skilled cook/large-scale kitchen trained with a genuine interest in food, health, and sustainable development.

About the preschool

Compidkraft is a staff and parent cooperative where community, participation, and joy of food are central. The operations include 35–40 children divided into two departments as well as 7–8 educators. We cook from scratch with a focus on taste, nutrition and sustainability, and strive to use organic ingredients as much as possible. Our educational activities are based on children's desire and curiosity, which also permeates our meals.

Job duties:

• Plan weekly menus
• Purchasing and ordering raw materials
• Preparation of lunch and snacks, as well as baking
• Responsibility for special diets and allergies
• Responsibility for hygiene routines, self-control and maintaining the budget

You collaborate closely with the educators and are part of the operation, where mealtime is also an important educational moment. We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained chef/has long-term experience working in a kitchen (preferably large-scale kitchen)
• Is trained in and has experience of self-control in the kitchen
• Has knowledge and experience of vegetarian, special and allergy diets
• Is self-directed, structured and responsible
• Thrives in a small operation with close collaboration
