Personal assistant needed for a child

We at Nordin Assistans are now looking for staff for one of our child clients. She lives with her parents and siblings. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of the girl's everyday life – both at home and during activities.

This role involves extensive care and supervision responsibilities, where you as an assistant need to be present, attentive, and confident in your role.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows:

Weekdays:

• 17:00 – 23:00
• 23:00 – 07:15

Weekends:

• 09:00 – 17:00
• 17:00 – 23:00
• 23:00 – 09:00

We are looking for someone who seeks a long-term position and is willing to work at least 20 hours per week, viewing this as a long-term collaboration. Introduction can begin immediately by agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

You will work with a 12-year-old girl who enjoys singing, playing, and bathing. She appreciates security and presence around her.

The client has extensive care needs. You need to have experience with intellectual disabilities, nutritional issues, visual field defects, and epilepsy.

This means that you as an assistant are responsible for both basic care and medical procedures. She needs help with:

• Personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and meals
• Transfers and medication
• Communication and social interaction
• Daily routines at home

She uses a feeding tube and a walking aid.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and who enjoys doing so. As a person, you are perceptive, calm, confident, and responsible, and you feel comfortable with an assignment that involves extensive care and supervision responsibilities.

Since the girl has significant care needs, you need to be thorough, attentive, and have the ability to act confidently even in situations that require quick decisions.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Previous experience working as a personal assistant or other care experience.

Meritorious experiences

• Experience with epilepsy
• Experience with tube feeding (PEG)
• Experience working with children
• Non-smoker and fragrance-free.
