Childcare Worker 100%, Temporary Position Autumn -26

Birkaskolan is a school with children from preschool to compulsory school. F-9. The preschool's and school's goal is to develop creativity, self-confidence, and a desire to learn with the help of Montessori pedagogy.

The preschool has about 130 children distributed across 8 departments. The compulsory school has just over 400 students in mixed-age classes F-1, 2-3, 4-6, and age-homogeneous classes in years 7-9.

We have a well-established value system consisting of the words participation, respect, development, and security. These words are highly alive, and we work based on these values in everything we do.

Our preschool offers continuity and security in an inspiring environment, adapted to the children's size and developmental level. We want every child, based on their own conditions, to grow and develop into an independent individual at their own pace. The children's groups are mixed-age, and the older children are role models who can guide and help the younger ones.

Free play, nature, and creative activities are also a major and important part of the operation.

We are looking for someone who is a childcare worker. We want you to have good teamwork skills, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. We want you to like challenges and think differently. You should be able to develop the educational environment together with other educators in the department so that the operation becomes stimulating and challenging. You drive and develop pedagogy in line with Montessori pedagogy and other governing documents.

This position is a temporary role during autumn 2026 but may become a permanent position as the preschool grows.
