Web Developer Consultant for Searchminds

Searchminds is a digital marketing agency in Kalmar that helps businesses grow through SEO, paid advertising, and web development. We have one full-time web developer, but when incoming project volume increases, we need an extra resource who can step in and drive projects independently from start to finish. We are now looking for someone who wants to be available as needed — as a freelance consultant or in a flexible employment format.

About the role

As a web development consultant with us, you take full responsibility for the projects you are assigned. This includes everything from the initial client meeting to launch — design, development, quality assurance, and handover. You work independently but always have the support of our team when you need to bounce ideas or get a second opinion.

Your responsibilities

• Build and develop websites in WordPress and Shopify
• 
  
• Create attractive, modern, and converting designs — often in Figma or directly in the platform
• 
  
• Manage projects independently: timeline, communication, and delivery
• 
  
• Maintain ongoing client contact throughout projects — reviews, changes, and training
• 
  
• Ensure performance, SEO fundamentals, and responsiveness on all sites you build

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in web development with WordPress and Shopify
• 
  
• Has a design eye and can deliver sites that both look great and function well
• 
  
• Is self-driven, structured, and used to managing own projects from A to Z
• 
  
• Is confident in client communication — can explain technical solutions in an understandable way
• 
  
• Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
• 
  
• Can show a portfolio of previous websites built

Meriting

• Experience with Figma, Elementor, Bricks, or similar tools
• 
  
• Knowledge of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and page speed
• 
  
• Experience with e-commerce and conversion optimization
• 
  
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom adjustments

Work is conducted in a hybrid format where you are partly at our office in Kalmar and partly remotely. If we match well, there are good opportunities to expand the collaboration over time.
