Description

Do you want to work on some of Sweden's most socially important railway projects while helping to develop the infrastructure of the future? We are now looking for an experienced and driven subproject manager for scheduling for a long-term consulting assignment related to railway investments and production projects at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The assignment involves subproject management within scheduling, focusing on the contact line factory, as well as work with track and switch replacements and sidings in several projects within Investment West – Railway Unit 2.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and monitoring scheduling work throughout all project phases – from planning and design to production and follow-up. You will work closely with project management, contractors, designers, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient progress, quality, and delivery according to set goals.

The work takes place both from the Swedish Transport Administration's office in Gothenburg and in the field during production stages. Travel within the assignment is expected, as well as work in the evenings, nights, and weekends when needed.

Tasks

As a subproject manager for scheduling, you will among other things:

  • Lead and coordinate the project's work on scheduling and planning
  • Coordinate the contact line factory's actions with other operational areas within the Swedish Transport Administration
  • Develop procedures, templates, and working methods for scheduling
  • Participate in developing and monitoring project schedules
  • Provide training on scheduling, procedures, and planning tools
  • Develop requirements for planning in procurement documents
  • Review and follow up on contractors' and designers' schedules and documentation
  • Ensure that contracts are executed according to contract and other documents
  • Handle deviations and follow up on budget, time, quality, and progress
  • Participate in construction meetings, financial meetings, and procurements
  • Coordinate with technical disciplines, contracts, and external parties
  • Report project status and progress on a monthly basis
  • Contribute with technical expertise and act as support to project management
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to Swedish Transport Administration employees

We are looking for someone who has

  • A university or college degree of at least 180 credits in civil engineering, technology, or another relevant field, or equivalent experience deemed comparable
  • At least 8 years of experience in scheduling or production planning within infrastructure, industry, or energy
  • At least 4 years of experience from complex projects where scheduling was your primary area of responsibility
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
