Sematic was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Linköping. The company develops advanced software focused on facilitating staff scheduling at large hospitals. This includes user-friendly interfaces and a high degree of automation through advanced algorithms with automated optimization functions and self-learning methods.

The idea was conceived and developed in direct collaboration with end users, resulting in solutions that address the core of healthcare scheduling challenges—both solving the immense mathematical complexity and meeting the demands for high usability. Today, the tool is market-leading and outperforms solutions from, among others, established software giants. Its clients now include numerous regions and hospitals, all of which have signed multi-year contracts.

Sematic has grown steadily to meet customer demand. Last year, the workplace expanded with a move to new office premises in Linköping, and now it’s time for additional talents to join the competent and driven team.

Job Responsibilities

As a full stack developer at Sematic, you will have a broad and varied role, developing software solutions from start to finish. As a new hire, you will participate through collaboration with other team members to achieve the best solutions and grow within the company. The work is based on freedom under responsibility, while you also get opportunities to develop through ample feedback and new challenges.

Your colleagues at Sematic have close contact with end users, ensuring that the results of your work are directly noticed and receive feedback. Additionally, you and other employees contribute technical support to end users.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• You have a Master of Science in Engineering equivalent to Y, D, or IT
• You solve problems better than most
• You know the differences between data structures: arrays and hash maps
• You understand algorithms and iterative/recursive behaviors
• You know the differences between reference counting and garbage collection

Beneficial: You have experience with JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB or SQL, server and client management.
