School Nurse, Entréskolan Örebro Grades 4-9

Would you like to help develop our students' health and well-being in close collaboration with the rest of the school staff through preventive and health-promoting work? Then you are the person we are looking for. We are now seeking a school nurse for Entréskolan in Örebro at 50%. We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training in pediatric nursing, district nursing, school nursing, or equivalent education. We would also appreciate it if you have experience working with children and young people in a school setting.

Entréskolan is an aesthetic primary school for grades 4-9 with a focus on active learning through creative expression using aesthetic forms in interdisciplinary subject areas. Entréskolan is located in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four aesthetic orientations: theater, music, dance, and art.

Entréskolan is characterized by a cross-disciplinary approach in various subject areas. We work to ensure that every student is involved and active in their learning. We want our students to feel safe, seen, and respected at Entréskolan. As a school nurse with us, you are an important part of that work.

As a school nurse at Entréskolan, you are part of the school's active student health team working closely with other staff. The student health team primarily works health-promoting and preventively to support students' development towards educational goals. Your main tasks are therefore promoting and preventive health work at individual, group, and organizational levels, with good opportunities to influence and develop the content of the work. The health-promoting and preventive mission includes health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, issues concerning students' work environment, the school's values and lifestyle-related illness, and basic medical interventions. Group-oriented interventions are also part of the duties. You collaborate with guardians, social services, and other healthcare units, among others.
