About the position

You will become part of a team that wants students to succeed in their studies and future dreams. The position involves working in daily farm operations, both as a machine operator and with service/repair of machines and farm equipment. You will work closely with the operational manager who leads the daily work. Together, you will be an important part of creating the best conditions for students' learning and for teachers to conduct education in modern agriculture. The position is permanent and full-time.

About you

You are a machine operator, machine repair technician, or have similar training and good knowledge of agriculture. As a person, you are social, structured, and able to build good relationships. You are flexible and used to making your own decisions and solving tasks that arise during the work. You value collaboration with teachers, student health staff, and students, and thrive in a school environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

About us

In 1919, the first agricultural education program started at Strömma, which now consists of the agricultural program with specializations in agriculture, equine management, and animal care, as well as a small number of places in the introductory program. All students have the opportunity to choose courses for science qualifications. We currently have about 180 students, most of whom live in the student residence from Monday to Friday. We have about 50 employees, of which over 20 are teachers.

Since 2017, the member organization Hushållningssällskapet Sjuhärad has owned Strömma Naturbrukscentrum. Hushållningssällskapet has existed for over 200 years to develop rural areas and the green industry through research, consultancy, education, and field trials.
