Are you a licensed special education teacher passionate about turning absence into attendance? Do you want to help shape a brand new program for students who need a safer path through school? Then you are the one we are looking for at the International English School in Västerås.About the role As a special education teacher in our newly started special education group (grades 4-9), you will have a unique key role. You will become part of a tight-knit team consisting of a special pedagogue, a special education teacher, and assistants. Together, we will build a learning environment where flexibility, security, and individual adaptation are central. Your focus will be to lead the pedagogical work in a special education group for students with neurodevelopmental disorders (autism, anxiety) who also struggle with school attendance. This is about giving the student back control and creating the conditions they need to achieve their goals.Why this group? Qualifications (requirements): - Licensed special education teacher or licensed teacher with special education competence with eligibility for grades 4-9 Experience (meritorious): - Swedish subject in your teaching license. - Experience with NDDs: You have a good understanding of challenges related to autism and anxiety - Both Swedish and English are mastered as we are a school with an international profile.
