Music Educator for Moheda Parish

We are now looking for a Music Educator for Moheda Parish

Moheda Parish is located in the middle of Småland, where the tranquility of the countryside meets proximity to Växjö. Here you will find small-scale operations, closeness, and great commitment. The parish consists of two congregations that complement each other:

Moheda Congregation with living traditions and room for innovation.

Slätthög–Mistelås Congregation, small in number but large in community and local spirit.

About the position

This is a new position where you work both as an educator and church musician with great freedom to shape parts of the content.

As an educator you will:

- Start up and develop activities for children of different ages

- Work with children and family activities

- Be part of the confirmation work

- Create safe, inclusive, and meaningful meeting places

- Contribute ideas and drive in the development of activities

As a church musician you will:

- Play at services, baptisms, weddings, and funerals

- Participate in and develop choir and music activities together with colleagues

- Be part of the parish's meeting places, e.g., in children and youth activities

- Contribute musical elements at events such as Christmas plays and other gatherings

We are looking for someone who:

- Has relevant education as a parish educator, cantor, or music educator (or equivalent experience)

- Has experience working with children and young people

- Enjoys both leading and creating new things

- Is relationship-building, warm, and unpretentious

- Likes working broadly and flexibly in a small organization

- Can work both independently and in a team

- Has a B driver's license and access to own car

- Is a member of the Church of Sweden and shares its values

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment conditions

- Permanent employment, 100%, working hours: 40 hours per week

- Evening and weekend work is included

- Duties in the entire parish
