Description
Apply to our special education teacher team at adapted upper secondary school
Our adapted upper secondary school is growing, and now we are looking for you who want to work with us in our unit that shares premises with the upper secondary school in Liljeholmen. For fall 2026, we need to expand with several colleagues who are licensed and have special education teacher competence for intellectual disabilities. We are now recruiting teachers primarily in child and leisure, Swedish, mathematics, physical education and health, history, and social studies.
You have a strong student focus and are a relational teacher with the ability to adapt your teaching to students' needs. Together with your colleagues, you work with collegial learning and systematic pedagogical development. As a special education teacher with us, you meet students in the national programs of health, care and nursing as well as commerce and service. Mapping students' study situations, support needs, and adaptations are part of the role. Communication with guardians as well as external contacts with authorities also occur. We want you to be driven by creating good contacts with the surrounding community.
The adapted upper secondary school unit is in a development stage as well as in an expansion phase. This gives you great opportunities to help shape routines and how the operations are to develop. Our schools work based on a strong foundation of values for young people's community engagement and the equal value of all, and therefore it is important to us that you share our values.
Qualifications
To apply, you need to have completed your special education teacher training for intellectual disabilities as an addition to your teaching license. We also welcome if you have experience working in an adapted upper secondary school.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, confident, communicative, perceptive, and can choose different approaches to find solutions. You are unpretentious and thrive in an environment where we cooperate and help each other to develop professional profiles and teaching.
You should enjoy working with young people in general and be driven to support their development towards stronger self-esteem and empowerment. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, as well as the ability to create good relationships. It is important to us that you collaborate well with your colleagues and that you become a positive force in our work towards a more humane society.
