We are now looking for a study and career counselor. We are looking for someone with a positive and professional attitude, who is flexible and shows great commitment in their work for the best interests of our students.
The position is 50% in Älvsjö, but there may be a possibility to combine it with another 50% position at a different school in Stockholm if desired.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has a university degree as a study and career counselor.
- Has excellent collaboration skills.
- Expresses themselves well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
- Has good digital competence.

In the role of study and career counselor in the compulsory school, you will be part of the school's student health team, working preventively and promotively in areas such as attendance, safety, and study peace. You will work with individual counseling and information efforts in classes. You will also collaborate with teaching teams, where you inform and guide about upper secondary education, the future job market, and stimulate students' interest and curiosity for upcoming choices and programs at the school. You provide information to students and guardians about various choices within compulsory school that form the basis for future study and career choices. You hold guidance conversations ahead of the upper secondary school choice and coordinate work experience (PRAO) for grades 8 and 9.
Employment form The position is a permanent employment (50%) based on leave, with a 6-month probationary period. Opportunity to combine the position with another 50% at another IES school may exist. Start date August 10, 2026. Salary according to agreement; collective agreement exists.
