Mullsjö Folk High School seeks teacher for the school's two-year vocational training program, Social Education Worker with focus on neuropsychological disabilities and comorbidity

Mullsjö Folk High School is beautifully situated on a hill, right by the lake, in scenic Mullsjö, just under 30 km northwest of Jönköping. You can easily reach us by car, bus, or train. The school has nearly 200 participants in long courses and an extensive short-course and boarding school operation. We are an independent foundation based on Christian values, and our principals are the Swedish Alliance Mission, the Swedish Alliance Mission Youth, and the Mullsjö Folk High School Alumni Association. Of course, we welcome students with all kinds of worldviews to our school.

Workload: 80-100%

Type and duration of employment: permanent with a 6-month probationary period

Qualifications / work experience / requirements:

Educated Social Education Worker, Social Worker, or other equivalent education – experience is desired.

We are now looking for you who want to help further develop our vocational training program, Social Education Worker, which started in spring 2024. Together with colleagues and participants, you plan, implement, and develop the work according to the established course plan. You create conditions for learning and develop ability, structure, and understanding of social interaction in various situations for and with our participants.

Duties

Your main duties are class leadership and teaching.

As a class teacher, you have primary responsibility for your class, which includes mentoring, absence management, and final assessment. Together with the course director, you help further develop the education through study visits, course literature, and marketing, among other things. The position also includes social education time, where you participate in teachers' council and social activities at the school.

Your competence

We see that you are a trained Social Education Worker or Social Worker and that you share the school's values. As a person, you are solution-focused, stable, and can remain calm in various situations that may arise. You have good collaboration skills and can build relationships. You are used to networking with various activities, working with groups, and being the spider in the web. You create trust and have experience working with different functions and social groups. You have experience in social work, such as coordinator, leadership role, juvenile delinquency, various conversation techniques, or criminology.
