Södervikskolan has been an independent school, Södervikskolan AB, owned by Atvexa since the 2008/2009 academic year. The school is beautifully situated in the middle of nature in the eastern parts of Upplands Väsby municipality. At Södervikskolan, approximately 470 students in grades 6-9 work together with 50 adults. We are organized into four teams, each with its own entrance and own home base with classrooms and lockers. The students' school day starts at 09:00.

Södervikskolan's top priorities are safety and well-being. The school should offer a safe place for our students, and safety is a prerequisite for them to achieve their goals, both academically and personally. Our approach to and work with values is based on Dan Olweus' research on bullying and successful anti-bullying work. We want every student to want and dare to take responsibility and feel involved in their own learning.

We actively work on teaching development in our subject teams, so we would like to meet you if you are especially eager to further develop teaching together with your colleagues.
