Hourly substitutes sought for Parent Cooperative Havskatten

Parent Cooperative Havskatten has a need for substitutes in the event of regular staff absence, for example due to illness or vacation.

Havskatten is a Rain or Shine preschool located in Johannelund in Traneberg, Bromma. The preschool started in 2005 and is located in an area with proximity to meadows, forest, and water, which provides good conditions for outdoor pedagogy and nature experiences as part of daily activities.

Today we have about 35 children and a team consisting of eight educators and a chef. We strive to offer a safe, stable, and developmental environment for the children. Competence development for staff is an important part of the operation. We offer, among other things, work clothes for outdoor use, pedagogical meals, and a varied work schedule.

About the operation

We work with a focus on learning in the outdoor environment, while also valuing continuity, cooperation, and a professional approach in the team. The children's safety and development are central to our work.

The food is prepared on-site by our chef, and we strive for nutritious and well-balanced meals as part of a sustainable and conscious operation.

About the role

As an hourly substitute, you work as needed in one of our three departments and support the regular staff in the pedagogical work and daily care. You contribute to creating a safe and structured day for the children based on the preschool's approach and routines.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained childcare worker or has other relevant experience working with children. Previous experience from preschool is meritorious.

To thrive in the role, we see that you are responsible, cooperative, and have a genuine interest in children's development and learning. You feel comfortable spending large parts of the day outdoors, while the operation also has access to suitable indoor facilities.

Havskatten is a parent cooperative run by engaged guardians in close cooperation with the principal and staff. We work with the child at the center and place great emphasis on presence, continuity, and professional treatment.
