Description

In specially adapted premises at Hornstull, Sofiaängen Primary and Secondary School is located. The school is a resource school for children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric disabilities. We are a school in development with a strong student health team, where we all work together to develop the school into a center of excellence in special educational methods and a scientific approach. We educate students to succeed in the future and support them to achieve the best possible results and development. The school offers individually tailored study paths in small groups of about 10 students per group. Each individual student has the opportunity to work according to their own conditions and grow at their own pace. We are about 40 employees and have approximately 125 students divided into three units: the later years of primary school, the introductory program individual alternative, and the social science program.

We are a school in constant development with a strong student health team, where we all work together towards making the school a center of excellence in special educational methods and a scientific approach. We want every employee to feel joy and pride in their work and contribute to the school's development. Here, you can make a difference.

For the fall term 2026, we are looking for a teacher to teach in the Social Science Program in:

  • English level 1, 2 and 3
  • Spanish – beginner, level 1
  • Spanish – basic, level 1
  • Spanish – intermediate, level 1
  • Spanish – intermediate, level 2

At our school, we meet each individual student where they are and then help them reach as far as possible. Students are given the opportunity to work based on their own conditions and grow and develop at their own pace. You will belong to a team of educators. You create learning environments where students feel safe, motivated, and inspired. You adapt your teaching to the individual needs of students. You focus on the success factors of teaching, work with positive reinforcement, and are flexible yet clear. Collaborative work with students is central.

Your role includes being a mentor for about 10 students. As a mentor, you have the overall responsibility to follow the student's knowledge development and study situation. At our school, good mentorship is very important and a success factor for how well students achieve their goals and thrive at school. A mentor is also the link between the student, school, and home, and we have close cooperation with our guardians.

Together with colleagues and the student health team, you drive pedagogical development work and dare to try different methods and approaches. You eat pedagogical lunch with students every day.

If this sounds like an exciting challenge, you should apply by sending your cover letter and CV via email to the vice principal.

Welcome with your application today!

Continuous selection is applied, which means the position may be filled before the application deadline.
