Spa Manager - Fjällnäs Mii Gullo Spa
Description
Spa Manager at Fjällnäs - Mii Gullo Spa
Do you want to work in an exclusive spa where nature's tranquility meets care, quality, and presence? We are looking for a Spa Manager for Mii Gullo Spa – a person with both leadership and finesse, passionate about guest experience and the bigger picture. With us, you combine therapeutic work with responsibility for operations, team, and development – in an environment that inspires recovery every day.
About Mii Gullo Spa and Fjällnäs
Fjällnäs is Sweden's first mountain hotel, located at the foot of Rutfjället in western Härjedalen. At the heart of our experience is Mii Gullo Spa – a calm and harmonious spa inspired by Sami and Nordic nature traditions. Here, we offer recovery for both staying guests and day visitors, with hot saunas, cold plunges, and peaceful moments.
Fjällnäs is one of Scandinavia's most unique destinations – and a workplace where people, nature, and quality meet.
About the role
As Spa Manager, you have overall responsibility for the operation and development of Mii Gullo Spa. You lead a small team (2-4 people), schedule work, and conduct internal training. You are also an important part of Fjällnäs management group and participate in strategic work. At the same time, you work practically with treatments and meet our guests daily.
The role requires both structure and flexibility. During periods of low occupancy, you may support other parts of the business. Your holistic view and humble approach make you a valuable part of the Fjällnäs team.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and scheduling staff in the spa department
- Performing treatments and welcoming guests
- Conducting internal training on treatments and customer service
- Ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and spa environment quality
- Managing purchasing and inventory
- Participating in management group meetings and decisions
- Collaborating with other departments depending on season and needs
We believe you are someone who:
- Is educated in skincare/spa and has practical experience with treatments
- Has previous experience in leadership or operational responsibility for spa/wellness or other parts of a hotel
- Is structured, quality-conscious, and has a strong sense of service
- Thrives both in independent work and in close teamwork
- Is humble and flexible – happy to help where needed
- Speaks Swedish and English fluently
We offer:
- The opportunity to live in the middle of the magnificent mountain world with adventure right outside your door, year-round
- A unique work environment in the Swedish mountains
- Wonderful colleagues, an engaged team with strong community and presence
- A key role in our management group with great opportunity to influence
- An exclusive spa where we together shape both content and atmosphere
- Salary and conditions according to collective agreement (Fjällnäs is a member of Visita)
- Possibility of housing – we have various types of accommodation, each with a nearly unique location by Lake Malmagen and views of the alpine tundra. All accommodations have free WiFi and are just a short walk from the hotel. Other housing options in the Funäsfjällen area also exist, so feel free to search broadly.
