Backend Developer for Global Cloud Service in Linköping

We at TaxiCaller are looking for a skilled backend developer to increase the development pace of our mobility as a service platform.

About you

We are looking for someone who matches the following description:

* You have studied at a university/college focusing on software development.

* You have extensive programming experience in object-oriented languages, preferably Java but not mandatory.

* You have strong drive and can work independently.

* You have experience with server programming and database connectivity.

* You have a good understanding of scalability and performance, preferably with experience working on transaction-intensive systems.

We consider it a plus if:

* You have experience with HTML5 and JavaScript.

* You have experience with PHP, SSL, and MySQL.

About your tasks

You will work on the server side of our mobility as a service platform.

We have servers on every continent and the system is very complex.

Development is partly in Java with MySQL as the database.

We also have micro services, where we use Redis as an in-memory data store and MySQL as the database.

You will work on both designing server architecture and implementing it, working closely with our CTO.

We work agilely using Scrum.

TaxiCaller was founded in 2011 and has developed a mobility as a service platform that quickly achieved international success and is now used by transport companies worldwide. Initially, we focused on offering our system to taxi companies, but have now expanded to other types of transport companies, such as bus companies.

Our system is revolutionary as we continuously use the latest technology in web solutions and smartphones (iPhone and Android). We are experiencing strong demand for our product and therefore need to expand our development department.
