About the job

As a school nurse, you are part of the comprehensive student health team at the school and work closely with the school doctor, special education teacher, special needs teacher, psychologist, counselor, and principal.

The school nurse's duties include standard school nurse tasks that are essential components of this interprofessional work. You are part of the student health team where you are expected to contribute to preventive health work and the school's systematic quality improvement. You maintain a visible and proactive approach in the operations to identify student needs early and contribute to a safe and health-promoting environment.

Your responsibilities

• Health consultations and early identification of students in need of support

• Support in teaching related to healthy lifestyle

• Information about risk and protective factors linked to student health and learning

• Drop-in visits and basic medical care

• Vaccinations according to the general child vaccination program

• Documentation and record-keeping according to current routines

• Active participation in the school's student health team and development work

About you

• Licensed nurse with specialist nursing training in healthcare for children and young people

• Experience working with children and young people, preferably as a school nurse

• Good computer skills – experience with the journal system Prorenata is meritorious

• Structured, meticulous, empathetic, and listening

• Strong drive for health-promoting and preventive work as well as building good relationships throughout the school environment

The position is a permanent employment at approx. 50% with a 6-month probationary period according to the Almega independent school agreement. Start date 10/8-2026 or by agreement.
