Description

We are looking for someone who wants a split role combining clinical work and clinic management.

About Us

Ögonspecialisterna in Kungsbacka is a private eye clinic with a care agreement with Region Halland. We opened in September 2024 and have grown rapidly since then. Today we are a team of 13 people including cataract surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, nurses, assistant nurses, opticians, a medical secretary, and a technical manager – with a good mix of skills and experience.

Our operations include cataract surgeries, lens exchanges and RLE in refractive surgery, oculoplastics (both under regional agreement and private cosmetic), IVT injections, laser treatment for posterior capsular opacification, visual field tests, and physician and nurse consultations. The premises are newly renovated and located centrally in Kungsbacka near the train station.

We have short decision paths and you get to influence your own daily work and help shape the clinic's future. At our clinic, it is important to enjoy work! We are a competent group who believe it should be fun to go to work. We have high ambitions and want to be a significant private clinic in eye care, with high employee and patient satisfaction and an efficient operation. Now we are looking for you who wants to be part of driving this development, both clinically and as a leader.

About the Role

This is a split role where you combine clinical nursing work with a clear management assignment as clinic manager. The benchmark is approximately 60% clinical work and 40% management, but this distribution is not set in stone; we adapt it to your profile and the operational needs.

You report to, and work closely with, the CEO and the medically responsible physician.

Clinical Work – approx. 60%

• Assist in cataract surgeries and oculoplastic surgeries

• Sterile technical work related to surgical operations

• Assist in or independently perform IVT injections

• Clinic reception work: Pre-examination before doctor visits and visual field tests

• Telephone advice

• Step in where needed during absences or illness. In a smaller clinic, flexibility is an obvious part of the job

Management as Clinic Manager – approx. 40%

As clinic manager, you have operational responsibility for daily operations and ensure that the right person does the right thing, and that patients receive high-quality care with professional and friendly treatment, without unnecessary waiting time.

Personnel and Culture:

• Staff responsibility and ensuring correct staffing each day

• Handling illness, care for sick children, and acute gaps

• Performance reviews and follow-up

• Introduction of new staff

• Continuous feedback and conflict management

• Plan competence development and social activities

• Distribute areas of responsibility within the staff group

Operations and Management:

• Daily management of clinic and surgery

• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvement work

• Ensure smooth production and high quality

• Coordinate meetings and internal communication

• Lead workplace meetings

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is a licensed nurse

• Has experience in eye care. Experience in eye surgeries (cataract and/or oculoplastics) is meritorious

• Has experience in sterile technical work (meritorious)

• Has natural leadership and thrives in a coordinating role

• Is structured, solution-oriented, and takes responsibility

• Can plan both short-term and long-term

• Is confident in making daily decisions

• Enjoys combining clinical work with responsibility

• Is unpretentious and contributes to a good atmosphere; for us, well-being is not a bonus but a foundation

• Speaks and writes Swedish fluently

Important for Success in the Role

• You take ownership of the whole, not just your own workday

• You solve problems as they arise

• You drive the operation forward, not just keep it running

What We Offer

Influence from the start. Short decision paths and a young clinic in growth. What you do is visible and has an immediate effect.

A competent and pleasant team. 13 colleagues, about 10 on site daily, who contribute to your well-being.

Newly renovated premises and a broad operation covering both regional agreement and private care.

Flexible role distribution. The balance between clinical work and management can be discussed and adapted to you.

Market-based salary by agreement, occupational pension, and wellness allowance.
