The customer has a brain injury from a previous accident.

He has difficulty planning – which requires that you, as an assistant, can communicate one thing at a time and that you are calm.

He is granted assistance around the clock with awake nights. The day is divided into two work shifts.

Your duties: As a personal assistant, you must always be near the customer to provide support in all daily activities. This may involve support and help with hygiene, assistance during meals, certain household chores, training, and leisure activities.

He lives with his wife – who is also his representative. She also helps to convey or assess what her husband needs support with.

It is desirable that you who apply have some form of experience with type 1 diabetes. This can be both work-related experience or private experience.

Diabetes is affected by several factors such as sleep, diet, exercise, etc.

-Since he cannot communicate when his blood sugar is going up or down, it is incredibly important that you as the assistant take responsibility throughout your entire shift – and when handing over to or from a colleague, convey how the shift was regarding sleep, diet, exercise, or anything else.
