Personal assistant with sign language experience for child

We are looking for a committed and responsible personal assistant for a child with autism. The work involves providing support in daily life and creating security, structure and development opportunities for the child in various situations.

As a personal assistant, you will work closely with the child and help facilitate communication, social interaction and daily activities. The work can take place both at home, at school and during various leisure activities.

Duties

• Provide support and help in the child's daily routines
• Work pedagogically and structured based on the child's needs
• Support the child in communication and interaction with the environment
• Collaborate with family and possibly other professional groups around the child

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or people with autism is meritorious
• Knowledge or experience of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), especially picture support and signs as support (SAAC)
• Ability to work calmly, clearly and structured
• Good cooperation skills and a respectful approach

Personal characteristics

We are looking for someone who is secure, patient and responsive. You must be able to build trust and adapt your working method to the child's needs. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
