Musikanten, the central preschool in Söderköping – here joy abounds!

Musikanten Preschool is an established parent cooperative that has been operating since 1991. Proximity to forests, libraries, playgrounds, an ice-skating rink, and the central parts of Söderköping provides good opportunities to vary the content of education and teaching. We have a large yard that inspires versatile learning with a focus on sustainability issues. The preschool is run as a parent cooperative, which means that the staff have educational responsibility while guardians create conditions and handle operations and certain maintenance.

Learning occurs in everything we do: in play, at mealtimes, in the hallway, and in the processes of our project-based approach. Children get to develop their creative and exploratory sides in a permissive environment where participation and influence are highly prioritized.

A warm, open atmosphere and close collaboration between everyone create the foundation for a safe learning and development environment.

Who are you

Musikanten Preschool is seeking an engaged, driven preschool teacher with a focus on children's development and learning. You will join our work team and help develop our preschool and education. Together with other preschool teachers, you will be responsible for ensuring that education and teaching are based on scientific foundation and proven experience.

We are looking for someone who wants to understand children's lifeworld and, based on that, develop their learning. You are a flexible person with good communication skills. By being attentive and empathetic, you build strong, positive relationships with colleagues, children, and guardians.

You hold a preschool teacher degree with certification and are proud of your professional choice. You are a warm, playful person interested in children's thoughts, development, and learning, and you want to enrich their everyday life. You are a cheerful, social, and cooperative person.

You are a creative, active, present, and co-exploring educator with the will, desire, and ability to listen to, inspire, and challenge all children. You also have the ability and courage to take personal responsibility and see opportunities. You possess good teamwork skills and dare to challenge yourself and your colleagues in working with children.

Employment:

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a six-month probationary period.
