Växjö Folk High School seeks educator at 100%, several subject combinations possible, including study and career guidance

Växjö Folk High School is a branch of Ädelfors Folk High School and Grimslöv Folk High School in the western part of Växjö. Currently, about 120 participants are offered education or projects here.

Participants can study general courses at upper secondary and basic levels, nursing assistant training, police preparatory training, study-motivating folk high school course, and the ESF projects FolkisUng and ViKan. All courses are permeated by a clear health profile, and participants regularly collaborate thematically and across course boundaries.

Teaching at Växjö Folk High School is based on the traditions of folk high schools, where learning in collaboration with others and active participation are central.

About the position:

Due to a retirement, we are now looking for a new educator for our operations. Just as we at the folk high school try to see the whole person, we open up for several different combinations so that you who are interested in working at a folk high school can apply to us. This is possible because we have broad competence in the work team and can adjust the roles.

Subjects of interest are primarily, but not exclusively; English, Swedish/Swedish as a second language, and social studies. If you have experience in the labor market, for example as a study and career counselor, you may also be of interest in connection with the FolkisUng project.

Competence:

You are structured and take responsibility for planning and following up teaching in the subjects and/or activities you are responsible for.

You have a positive view of collaboration both internally and externally.

You are interested in educating adults and see an advantage in the diversity of backgrounds and cultures present at the school.

Meritorious:

Teaching qualification in relevant subjects.

Experience in folk high school education.

Worked on projects related to education.

Experience as a study and career counselor or counselor.
