Oboe and Recorder Teacher
Description
Oboe and Recorder Teacher for a Private Music School
Our private music school in Lund, with approximately 600 students, is run by professional musicians and creative educators. We have high ambitions to provide students with a genuine music education. Our teaching team works with clear plans to guide each student toward independent musicianship from the very beginning. Already in beginner instruction, the doors to all development are opened. We teach a wide range of individual subjects, music theory, ensemble, short courses, and offer occasional workshops. As a teacher with us, even for a relatively small position, we want you to plan according to a common structure, collaborate, and contribute your own initiatives.
We teach students using Lund's and Staffanstorp's music vouchers as well as private students of all ages. Our profile is classical and international – a modern education grounded in solid knowledge.
The school combines the best of two worlds. Students have the option to choose heavily subsidized instruction with a music voucher or private lessons with up to 60 minutes of lesson time. For the private part of the school, the restriction to Lund and Staffanstorp municipalities does not apply; we accept students from all of Skåne.
We are now seeking an oboe and recorder teacher because our current teacher is planning to retire. This involves a small class of students from our line with continuous courses for children and teenagers. Adults with punch cards may also join. These are engaged and ambitious students at a school with all the tools to develop them in the best way.
We are looking for someone who has training from a university of music or similar qualifications from a classical music education. You have come some way in your career and have a plan for how you want to structure your life portfolio.
Your primary focus is classical/all-round. You are accustomed to planning your work, both in the short term and with a longer perspective, and you can create individual development plans. You enjoy inspiring students towards chamber music and ensemble playing, preferably with one of our many student concerts as a goal.
Our ambition is to elevate both the oboe and the recorder as attractive instruments for all ages. If you have your own ideas, they are more than welcome. To lower the threshold, we provide three oboes that beginners can rent for a semester.
Language: LIMUS is an international music school. Our everyday language is Swedish, which you must be able to speak and understand fluently. If you are new to Sweden, you need at least Swedish B1 – a test or equivalent knowledge. In addition to Swedish, it is an advantage if you can teach in English. You will work in a creative team with highly competent teachers where you will have space for your own ideas and encounter a well-structured workplace.
We help you with scheduling and are always available. As a new employee, you will receive a mentor who helps you get into all routines. You will teach in our own teaching rooms in Lund with very good equipment.
Many of our teachers are active freelance musicians, which we see as an asset. We offer some flexibility, but we prefer that the schedule of teaching weeks that applies to all students is followed (14 teaching weeks per semester). Our economy is limited but secure. You are employed on an hourly basis with a guarantee of a certain teaching volume. We offer our employees individual occupational pensions and individual salary setting. Work outside of teaching, e.g., student concerts and projects, is compensated separately.
Warmly welcome with your application!
