As an Explainer during the summer season, you will have the chance to work in a lively environment filled with curious children, families, and tourists – where you convey technology and culture in a playful, educational, and engaging way.

About the National Museum of Science and Technology:

With approximately 388,000 visitors in 2019, more than half of whom are children and young people, we offer a fantastic overall experience with the goal of welcoming 500,000 visitors per year. We are both a science center and Sweden's largest technical museum, where children and adults together explore and discover how everything connects – from the birth of industry to the grand visions of the future.

About the position:

We are looking for committed and service-oriented summer explainers for our team. During the summer, the pace is high and no two days are alike. You meet visitors from all over the world and contribute to creating a welcoming, inspiring, and well-functioning experience.

Job responsibilities:

• Conduct tours, demonstrations, and activities for museum visitors – in both Swedish and English
• Sell tickets and guide visitors through exhibitions, entrance, and shop
• Contribute to a lively and welcoming atmosphere in the museum's public spaces
• Participate in daily operations and ensure that exhibitions maintain high quality

Qualifications:

• Experience in service, education, events, or similar is meritorious
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Ability to take responsibility and work at a fast pace

Employment:
