Rudolf Steiner School in Gothenburg is a well-established Waldorf school with a history spanning over 60 years. The school is beautifully situated on a hill with a view of the city, surrounded by a generous natural plot that invites both play and learning in an inspiring environment. About the job As a deputy principal with us, you will support the principal in leading and developing our educational activities. The role includes personnel responsibility, which among other things involves employee appraisals and providing support and guidance to your colleagues to promote their continued development. The allocation of tasks between the principal and deputy principal largely depends on you as an applicant and the experience you bring.

About you To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and goal-oriented. You plan, organize, and follow up work in a way that creates security and quality in the operation. As a person, you are stable in your leadership; you handle pressure and complex situations in a calm and professional manner and contribute to a positive work environment.

You are collaborative and unpretentious, build trusting relationships, and cooperate well with colleagues, students, and guardians with a focus on the school's common goals. Additionally, you have good analytical skills, make well-founded decisions, and see connections between daily work and the school's long-term development. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A teaching degree and experience working in primary school.
• Pedagogical insight, acquired through both education and practical experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Meritorious:

• Leadership experience.
• Completed or ongoing principal training.
• Education and/or experience in Waldorf pedagogy.

Other

• Extent: The position is about 40–50%.
• Start date: August.
