About the Workplace
Police Region South is organized into five police areas: Blekinge northeastern Skåne, Kalmar Kronoberg, Malmö, northwestern Skåne, and southern Skåne, which together are divided into 20 local police areas. Furthermore, there are seven regional units: the operational unit, intelligence unit, investigation unit, border police unit, HR South, Communications South, a regional office, and national departments represented in the region to support police operations.
The operational unit's mission is to actively support police areas, local police areas, and units in their operational tasks. We do this by providing and developing specialist expertise to together with the entire region strengthen our operational capability. With our specialist expertise, high service, and good collaboration, the operational unit is an important part of the operational and crime-fighting work in Region South. The unit also collaborates with the National Operations Department and other regions.
The Regional Operations Center in Region South is responsible for the police's incident-driven operations and strengthens and collaborates with police areas in crime prevention work. The workplace consists of RLC operators, RLC commanders, duty commanders, and support functions such as communications officer and system administrator. The Regional Operations Center handles, assesses, and prioritizes incoming phone calls and radio calls. Within the duty assignment, the region's minute-by-minute operational activities requiring immediate and urgent action are led.
RLC in Region South has approximately 200 employees in 14 groups. The section also has a deputy section manager.
The Role as Section Manager for RLC, Region South
As Section Manager for RLC Region South, you report to the Head of the Operational Unit and are part of their management team, where together you are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the section's operations and its results. As Section Manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

You are responsible for and promote a culture and work environment that stimulates collaboration and team spirit, creativity, and continuous improvement with a focus on the big picture. Together with the team managers in your leadership team, you ensure that the section's work is conducted with high quality, good service, and develops through employees' motivation.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have (requirements):
· Police degree
· At least two years of experience in driving and leading together with other managers (formal management)
· At least one year of experience in driving and leading through other managers or supervisors (formal management of managers)
· Several years of experience in working goal- and results-oriented with good outcomes for both the overall mission and your own area of responsibility
- Experience in successfully leading and driving change and development work
· Experience as part of a management group or equivalent leadership forum
· Swedish citizenship
It is considered meritorious if you additionally have:
· Experience in current or related operational area
· Experience in crime prevention work
· Experience in investigative work
· Experience in administrative/civil service work
· Experience in participating in or driving collaboration, both internally and externally
· Manager and leadership training deemed relevant by the employer
· Good knowledge of the police organization's operations
