Are you ready for a bigger challenge?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest government agency with about 40,000 employees nationwide. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
About the Workplace
Region Middle includes Uppsala, Gävleborg, and Västmanland counties and has approximately 2,700 employees. The region consists of three police areas and four regional units, including the Regional Investigation Unit.
The Regional Investigation Unit consists of six sections and a staff office: the Forensic Section, the Camera Surveillance and Analysis Section, the Investigation Section, the Action Group Section, the Fraud Section, and the Regional IT Crime Center.
To enhance the capacity to handle digital information, the police have established seven regional IT crime centers and one national IT crime center at NOA.
The IT crime centers have support functions that assist all criminal investigation activities in tracking and securing digital information. The IT crime centers also have investigation teams that handle both their own cases and assist other investigation activities, regardless of crime area, in cases involving complex digital aspects requiring specialist expertise.
The IT Crime Center section at the Regional Investigation Unit in Region Middle consists of 3 IT technology/forensics groups, a Desk group with a preparation function and investigation of CCB - Complex Cybercrime and cryptocurrency analysis, as well as two investigation groups within ISÖB (internet-related sexual offenses against children). The activities and employees are represented in all the region's police areas.
The mission as Section Manager for the IT Crime Center
As manager of the IT Crime Center, you report to the Head of the Regional Investigation Unit and are part of the unit's strategic and operational management group, where together you are responsible for carrying out assignments and driving the agency's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the section's activities in the area and its results. As section manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen confidence in police operations.

You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the overall mission.
You are responsible for and work toward an environment that stimulates cooperation and team spirit, creativity, and continuous improvement with a strong focus on the whole.
