Description

For over 90 years, FMCK has supported society by training motorcycle orderlies for the Home Guard and civilian society. FMCK has local branches across the country that, in addition to the core task of recruiting and training motorcycle orderlies, also engage in civilian activities such as motocross, enduro, and trial. We organize local and national competitions for both elite and recreational riders. We have youth activities for both volunteer activities and motorsport in general.

We are seeking a new Office Manager for FMCK National Association as our current Office Manager is retiring,

The Swedish Voluntary Motorcycle Corps is a voluntary defense organization tasked with training motorcycle, snowmobile, and all-terrain vehicle drivers for the needs of society, both in defense and civilian sectors.

Demands on our operations have increased significantly in recent years due to the geopolitical situation and the growth of military and civil defense. To meet the increased need, we need to strengthen the central management of FMCK. Our office currently consists of seven people who mainly work with training, communication, administrative service, and maintenance of our motorcycles, as well as support for our local branches.

The Office Manager leads and develops FMCK's central operations and, together with the FMCK board, creates a strong team that can lead and develop FMCK's activities for the future.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to switch between tasks, prioritize, and maintain order. You are confident in your managerial role and can provide instructions, tools, and support that make it easy to do the right thing and contribute to further developing our operations. You are creative, self-motivated, driven, and optimistic. You communicate easily both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English, internally and externally.

You are cooperative and interested in solving problems together with your colleagues.

Of course, you have an interest in motorcycles!


Job responsibilities:

- Be manager for all staff at the office, including:

  • Operational management
  • Personnel management
  • Work environment
  • Competence development
  • Workplace meetings

- Responsibility for finances, budget, and operational planning

- Responsibility for property and facility issues

- Lead the office's contacts with local FMCK branches

- Be the office's main contact person for the national board and the national branch chief

- Prepare and, if necessary, present material for the FMCK national board and implement decisions made

- Together with the national board, plan and carry out the annual meeting


Education/Experience/Requirements:

- Swedish citizenship

- A relevant post-secondary education

- Documented and well-recommended managerial and leadership experience

- Experience and knowledge of financial administration and budgeting

- Necessary knowledge of labor law and personnel administration

- Good planning and implementation skills, as well as the ability to build networks

- IT proficiency and mastery of the Office package, as well as other IT systems such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.

- A valid B driving license


Merits:

- If you are/have been employed/engaged in a defense authority, a voluntary

defense organization (Home Guard, Bilkåren, Swedish Volunteer Motor Car Corps, Lottakåren, etc.) this is considered meritorious

- If you have an A driving license


Other:

- The position is located at FMCK's office in Skövde (Skultorp) in well-adapted premises for the operations

- Work is performed on-site at the office. Remote work to a limited extent (max one day per week) is agreed with the national branch chief

- Some travel may occur


Employment rate: 100%

Start date as soon as agreed upon.

The position is a permanent employment beginning with a 6-month probationary period.
